Hey moron!

If someone yells 'Hey moron' from behind, you don't turn around to say 'Yes, what?' or 'I'm not a moron', or even to rough him up. Else, you'd be showing that you ARE one. Unless, of course, you're vain and absurd enough to think he's referring to you.
