Unplanned day's outing, but fun nonetheless
I collected my leave certificate this morning. Unfortunately, Ms Yong could not give us our testimonials because it wasn't ready. Hence, she will only give it to us during the 5N1 dinner which will be held at Parkway Parade this Thursday. It was supposed to be on Friday but that day is accounted as a weekday therefore we are unable to book. So Thursday, 7.30pm at Parkway Parade.
After collecting my leave certificate, i went to eat breakfast at Coffee Express (Pasir Ris Central) with Raziz, Saidil, Ashaari, Liana, Sharifah and Nadiah. After breakfast, the girls decided to play bowling at Downtown East. It's been a long time since i last touched a bowling ball or been at a bowling alley. I guess the last time i bowled was 3 years ago. So anyways, i decided to join in with them. The first few pins i missed, but then the more we played, the more i get the hang of it. Raziz won, he was pretty much consistent and i had doubts about his claims of not going bowling since secondary 2. However, i scored more strikes than anyone else. 3 compared to 1 from Raziz, Sharifah and Nadiah. Unfortunately, i only manage to score 3 strikes during the last few turns which explains my-not-so-low score.
After bowling, we went to Century Square to accompany Nadiah who wants to buy a pair of shoes. Really, i wonder how many pairs of shoes a women need in a her entire life. So anyways, we head down to Century Square by bus. During the journey, Nadiah was the centre of our joke as we contemplate what will be the ideal job for her. At Century Square, Mardhiah joined us.
After browsing the shoes, we all thought Nadiah will buy a pair of shoe but in the end, she did not. Apparently, she had this assumption that Ashaari will treat her a pair of shoes once he gets his first pay. Well, knowing Ashaari i doubt he will do that.
Then, we head down to Pavillion for a game of pool. We played for one hour. First match, Boys VS Girls. Second match, Sharifah VS Mardhiah. Third match, Raziz VS Ashaari and the last match was Raziz against me. First match, the girls won by luck. We accidentally hit the black ball into the wrong hole, the girls on the other hand had 2 or 3 balls left. Sharifah won her match against Mardhiah and Raziz too won his match against Ashaari. However, his winning streak runs out as i beat him!
Woohoo! I'm just a beginner in this game, having played only twice in my life. But i seem to get the hang of things pretty quickly. My first few shots were all just mediocore. But the more we played, the better i am. However, my last shot was pure luck that it went in. In order to win, i must hit the black ball like a pinball kind of thing. So, i told them the hole i was aiming at and just hit the ball. Fortunately, it went in.
Yeah it's been a fun day today, looking forward to the dinner treat on Thursday. After that, maybe i might play pool again since i'm getting the hang of it. Hey, when we win, we won't stop playing.
