A day at the beach
The sound of thunder and the clattering sounds of raindrops woke me up. From first impression, i was feeling rather down because my family had plan to go to the beach today to celebrate mother's day. However, raining days doesn't mean our plans get thrown out of the window. Nah, not my family that is. Rain or shine, we are going to the beach today!!!
My family met up with my aunts, uncles and cousins at Changi. Coincidentally, we all arrived at the same time. Just a few seconds separate us from each other. It was drizzling when we arrived. So, we took a spot at a shelter and set up our camp and mates there. My grandma cooked all the food. And as expected, there was definitely a wide variety of food to choose from. Ranging from Nasi Lemak to Mee Putih, Mee Siam Goreng to Samosa and curry puffs.
The gang of four was present; A.K.A my bro, Harith, Syafiq and Hilman. All four are a pain in the butt! Very active and mischevious. Always running around even though it was raining and the ground was slippery. When they are in the camp, the camp shakes violently due to their constant pushing for space and faking a wrestling match. But of all places, y in a tent?? I lost count with the total number of times each of them cried today. Every single thing, they cry. Get pushed around, not getting what they want, feel left out and etc. Yet, they still play together and and shout. As the saying goes; kids will be kids.
The food was delicious, as usual kudos to my grandma for being an excellent cook. After eating, we all talked and talked. Alot of jokes and laughs, and my cousins bought 2 bored games. Monopoly and cluedo. Monopoly i'm very familiar with it. I played with Kak Hetty, Kak Leen, Abg Ewan, My mom and my sis. Ashriqah was the banker. Can't believe the whole game took about 3 hr to finish and i didn't even noticed that time flies that fast. I was having so much fun. My mom and dad eventually team up and my dad used some tricks to fool the minds of others except me. Y not me? Nope, its not because im clever.. Its coz i myself am using the same trick to fool them from the beginning. Hahahx, father and son do think alike. No matter for good or bad. (",)
After playing monopoly, which i eventually lost to my mom in the final two, we played cluedo. Okay, Cluedo definitely ranks up as the most complicating boardgame i ever played. Its so confusing and i had to crack my head to solve the crimes. Then, the boys and men played soccer. The gang of four tried getting the ball from me but to no avail. Hahahx, in the end they hold my shirt and prevent me from moving. It was fun!
Then, i washed myself in the toilet. Very refreshing since my legs and arms are all covered by sand due to the rain and all. After bathing, we all sat and kinda debate about certain things while the gang of four played soccer by themselves. My hair was one of the topics debated!!! Kak Leen said that my hair looks nice as i get older. Hahahax, thank you very much! My mom on the other hand, think otherwise. I prefer my hair curly and long. So does the rest of my families except my mom. My dad had to support my mom of course, kinda like he was forced to do so. Hahahx...
The most funniest part was packing time. It was like a boxing ring. On one side, my mom.. And the other side, my grandma. Clash of the two mothers, fitting for a mother's day event. Hehehx! Niwaes, my grandma commanded the things to be packed in her own way and unfortunately, my mom became the target. We all could not get enough of them, arguing and all. It was funny, the way my mom showed my grandma that her style is wrong while my grandma still thinks that her style is correct. I remain as the spectators, together with the rest of us.
Eventually, we all laughed our hearts out as the packing was completed. Although they bicker alot, they do get the job done and no bad feelings between each other. It happens everyday, even at home. So i think both of them are kinda used to it. So we all said our goodbye's and proceed back home.
Tomorrow is Social Studies paper and English paper 2 and i have not studied today. I did the revision yesterday though so i hope it should be enough. Today is certainly memorable. Had loads of fun and enjoyed myself the whole day!
